Thiruvananthapuram: A Dalit person was forced by a goon to hold his leg and kiss it in return for getting his mobile phone back. The SC/ST Commission has taken a case against the abuser and ordered the police to submit a report within five days. The Commission also ordered to charge the accused under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The Thumba Police have registered a case against the accused nicknamed Airport Dany, a local goon. The police have registered case against him for threatening and beating up the victim.

Airport Dany had earlier beat up the victim and snatched his mobile phone. When the victim requested to hand him over his mobile, Dany told him to come to Karimanal at Thumba. When the victim reached the spot, the accused took the key of his bike and told him that if he needs his mobile phone back the victim must hold Dany’s leg.

When the Dalit youth held Dany’s leg, the accused again ordered him to hold his leg. The victim held Dany’s leg three times. Then Dany forced him to kiss his legs too. The SC/ST Commission took suo motto case on the issue after the Commission received the video of the crime.
