Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President, K Surendran, has turned his attention to PWD Minister Muhammed Riyas, in the row created by Speaker’s anti-Hindu remarks. The BJP leader said that when it comes to communalism, Muhammed Riyas is more extreme than Speaker AN Shamseer.
Surendran said that Muhammed Riyas is a leader who has been working to communally polarize the state. He said that Kerala is now witnessing a well-laid plan to sabotage Hindu beliefs and to consolidate the Muslim vote bank.
He remarked that the CPI(M) is insulting the Hindu community to please another community. The Pinarayi government is going ahead with this plan because it knows that the government can only survive through communal polarization.
The BJP leader said that the time has come to realize that plans are underway to get votes by destroying the peace of the state. Muhammed Riyas is working as a megaphone of the CM. Riyas says what is in the mind of Pinarayi Vijayan.
K Surendran said that the Chief Minister’s silence in anti-Hindu remarks of the Speaker is not correct. The people of Kerala are waiting to know about the stand taken by the CM in the issue.
The BJP leader said that PWD Minister, Muhammed Riyas, justified Speaker, AN Shamseer’s controversial anti-Hindu remarks. He had said that the Speaker did not say anything against any religion and that the CPI(M) State Secretary has made things clear already.
Muhammed Riyas, who is also the son-in-law of the Chief Minister, said that if the Speaker’s name was Nathuram Godse, the BJP President would have hugged him and shouted slogans supporting the Speaker.
K Surendran said that Muhammed Riyas in his position as a Minister is trying to create conflict between communities.
Muhammed Riyas is the PWD Minister and is the son-in-law of Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan.
