Idukki: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has confiscated the land and property of a state level leader of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The ED attached a resort at Idukki called ‘Munnar Villa Vista’ owned by PFI State Vice President, NK Ashraf.
The ED said that properties worth Rs.2.53 crores were confiscated. Four villas and 6.75 acres of land was attached by the ED. The investigation agency had found that these properties were part of a black money laundering network.
Recently, the National Investigating Agency (NIA) had confiscated the PFI’s biggest weapons training center, Green Valley Academy, at Manjeri. The confiscated Green Valley Academy included a 10 hectare sprawling space and was earlier used by cadres of National Development Front, which later joined the PFI. This center was used as a hide out and service wing of many terrorists who committed crimes like murder.
