Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has not released the report of Principal Secretary of Industries APM Muhammad Haneesh, who investigated the allegations in the Artificial Intelligence camera deal. Industries Minister P Rajeev has not released the full contents of the report, submitted to him by Muhammad Haneesh, except that the allegations related to the AI camera are baseless and the sub-contract is void.
Meanwhile, when the KPCC secretary submitted an application under the Freedom of Information Act, asking information about the AI cameras, they received a reply that no report can be provided. This led to the opposition’s suspicion that the government is hiding something in the camera-related matters.
At the same time, the government has argued that it cannot provide a copy of the report as it is under the scrutiny of the government. The government handed over the investigation to the Principal Secretary of Industries, after the controversy surrounding the installation of artificial intelligence cameras in the state related to the Safe Kerala project, escalated. The opposition’s suspicions are fueled by the fact that the Chief Minister has not yet responded on this issue.
