Thiruvananthapuram: There is a possibility of party action against NCP MLA Thomas K Thomas who made serious allegations against the NCP state leadership. NCP state president PC Chacko met the central leadership demanding action against Thomas K Thomas. A.K. Saseendran’s faction has also formally raised concerns with the central leadership. Despite this, Thomas K. Thomas remains steadfast in his position, asserting that he will not retract his allegations.
Yesterday, Kuttanad MLA Thomas K Thomas submitted a formal complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP), alleging that Reji Cherian, a member of the NCP central working committee, had attempted to cause him harm. Following this, Thomas K. Thomas addressed the media and leveled grave accusations against the state leadership. He openly criticized PC Chacko, the state president, for his inability to take the party forward. The state leadership views this as a significant breach of disciplinary conduct.
PC Chacko held discussions with NCP National President Sarath Pawar, urging decisive disciplinary measures to be taken against Thomas K Thomas. Additionally, a group aligned with Minister AK Saseendran also lodged a formal complaint with the central leadership. The complaint alleges that Thomas K. Thomas has not only brought disrepute to the party but has also plunged it into a state of crisis.
The Alappuzha District Committee has also urged the state leadership to address the matter concerning Thomas K Thomas. Given the circumstances, there is a probable likelihood of initiating disciplinary measures against Thomas K Thomas. It is indicated that the central leadership will soon issue orders to take actions.
