Kochi: The Kerala communist government is continuing with its terror tactics against those who fought to safeguard the ancient Hindu rituals of Sabarimala temple. The government has said that they have registered around 400 cases against leaders of Sabarimala Karma Samithi, which spearheaded the agitation.

Leaders include RSS Sanghachalak P. E. B. Menon, Hindu Aikya Vedi President K. P. Sasikala Teacher, Vishwa Hindu State President S. J. R. Kumar, and Former DGP Senkumar, and former PSC Chairman K. S. Radhakrishnan.

Cases are also registered against State BJP President P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, MLA O. Rajagopal, M. T. Ramesh, candidate from Pathanamthitta K. Surendran, P. K. Krishnadas, and A. N. Radhakrishnan.

The government charged the leaders for untoward incidents during the hartal to protest against destroying Hindu traditions of the holy shrine. Most of the cases, numbering 76, are registered in Pathanamthitta district where Sabarimala temple is situated. 56 cases are registered in Alappuzha and 48 in Kollam district.

Interestingly, the chief of Kerala police has directly issued a circular to every SP in the state to take action against the Hindu leaders.

Though the government is claiming that they are taking actions against the leaders on a complaint filed by a resident of Thrissur, it is reported that the advocate appearing for the complainant comes from the government advocate’s office.
