New Delhi: Anil Antony, the National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly criticised the Left government in Kerala, alleging that the state has experienced unparalleled corruption during its seven-year tenure. He highlighted concerns about the rising incidents of corruption, communalism, and bribery within the region. Antony further emphasised that a striking occurrence has unfolded in history, where even the Chief Minister’s office has allegedly become entangled in a gold smuggling controversy.
Antony underscored the necessity for a change in the state’s governance to prioritise the well-being of its citizens. He confidently predicted a forthcoming transformation in Kerala’s political landscape during the upcoming elections, asserting that the people’s discontent with the purportedly corrupt Left government would result in its removal from power.
Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Antony conveyed his disapproval of the Congress leader’s actions and behaviour. He asserted that Gandhi’s daily activities are reinforcing the notion that he is unsuitable for a position in Parliament. Antony went on to demand an apology from Gandhi for his perceived disrespect towards female members of the legislature. Additionally, Antony criticised Gandhi’s conduct during a prior discussion on a no-confidence motion, referencing his winks and other gestures during the proceedings.
