Ernakulam: More information has surfaced about the murder of a woman in Oyo Hotel in Kochi. According to the police, Nausheed tied up Reshma and conducted a trial before killing her. The video was captured by the accused on his phone. The police also stated that Nausheed killed Reshma by stabbing on her neck with a knife.
The accused had confessed to the crime after being arrested. He said that he was in a relationship with Reshma for a long time. But the other day, Nausheed called Reshma to the hotel and asked her to back out from the relationship. Following this, they both had an argument with each other. Nausheed gave the statement to the police that when Reshma refused to back out from the relationship, he stabbed her on her neck from behind.
The incident happened around 10 pm on August 9 at a hotel in Potakkuzhi, Kalur. Residents who heard screams from the hotel room informed the police. By the time the police reached the spot, Reshma had died. 27-year-old Reshma who was killed in a hotel room in Kochi is a resident of Changanassery. She was working as a lab attendant in Kochi.
31-year-old Nausheed, a resident of Kozhikode Balussery, who was found to be in the hotel room, was taken into police custody following the incident. Nausheed was working as a housekeeping worker in the hotel. The police found Nausheed’s behavior abnormal. They took him into custody after the accused confessed to the murder.
