Thiruvananthapuram: “Why are fraudsters from the ‘I.N.D.I.A’ faction running separately in Puthupally contests?” questioned K Surendran, the state president of BJP. He inquired whether it wouldn’t be sufficient for both factions to present a single candidate and questioned the reason behind misleading the public.
“Isn’t it adequate to nominate only one candidate in Puthupally? Both factions share a uniform stance on every matter. They align similarly on issues such as disrespecting Lord Ganesha, receiving monthly payments, and opposing the BJP. So, wouldn’t it be sufficient for both groups to put forth a single candidate in Puthupally? Why engage in misleading the public?” questioned K Surendran.
“VD Satheesan, who proposes the canonization of Oommen Chandy, is the same person who played a role in Oommen Chandy’s decline during his final stages. This is a widely recognized fact. Both Satheesan and the current UDF leadership, who are portraying Oommen Chandy as a saintly figure now, are ironically the ones who have inflicted the greatest damage to his reputation.” K Surendran also pointed out those Congress leaders had previously initiated a despicable campaign against Oommen Chandy.
The state president of BJP further conveyed that the final decision regarding the BJP’s candidate in Puthupally will be determined by the central leadership following today’s discussion.
