Kannur: Railways has allotted new stops for 15 trains for the state of Kerala. These additional stops have been approved for nine stations in the Malabar region. The implementation of these new stops is scheduled for August 15. Additionally, the railway ministry has announced that two long-distance trains will now also include stops at Kasaragod station.
The Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Maveli Express has been granted permission to make a stop at Tirur. The train will start stopping there on August 18 onwards. Additionally, starting on August 16, the Malabar Express will also make stops at stations such as Chalakkudy and Kuttipuram. Moreover, the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Express will stop at Ezhimala on August 15th onwards.
From August 16, the Dadar-Tirunelveli-Dadar Humsafar Express (22629/22630) and from August 17, the Tirunelveli-Gandhidham Humsafar Express (20923/20924) will halt at Kasaragod. Starting on August 15, the Ernad Express (16605/16606) will also stop at Palakkad Town. On the same day, the Kannur-Yeshvantpur Express (16528/16527) will halt at Thalassery.
