Idukki: A carpenter’s family from Kerala has been extended a special invitation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to partake in this year’s Independence Day celebrations. Pushpangathan, along with his wife Ambika, hailing from Idukki Bison Valley, have been cordially invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be distinguished guests at the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in Delhi.
Pushpangathan’s invitation as a special guest stems from his recognition as a small and microentrepreneur and beneficiary of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, a recognition facilitated by the Ministry of Industries.
With an impressive career spanning 35 years in the traditional craft of carpentry, Pushpangathan has lent his expertise to the creation of numerous temples and houses across the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. His distinctive touch in his craft has earned him a reputation, setting his work apart. Pushpangathan’s proficiency extends beyond carpentry into furniture making, showcasing his versatile skills.
Distinguished for his unique craftsmanship in the realm of carpentry, Pushpangathan has forged an individualistic signature style in his creations.
