Thrissur: In a combined operation by the Kunnamkulam Police and Anti-Drug Squad, four persons including two women were arrested from a lodge at Kunnamkulam with possession of drugs. The police have confiscated 5 gms of MDMA from the culprits.
The arrested are Shafeek (32) and Anas (26) hailing from Kutanad, Sherin (29) from Alappuzha and Surabhi (23) hailing from Kollam district. The police said that the accused targeted educational institutions in the region and brought the intoxicant drugs there in a bid to sell it.
The police also said that the four accused was peddling drugs by staying at various lodges in Kunnamkulam for the last two days. The police have information regarding those who supplied the accused with the drugs.
The four accused were presented to the court after medical examination. The court has remanded all of them.
