Kozhikode: The Thamarassery Land Board clarified that PV Anvar MLA and his family possesses land beyond the land holding limit. The report was submitted by the Authorized Officer.
The report said that the land holding limit was violated since 2017. PV Anvar MLA refused to submit the required documents as ordered by the Taluk Land Board and tried to extend the proceedings of the board.
The report said that PV Anvar must surrender the extra 19.26 acres of land. The total land he is holding is 31.26 acres. A family can hold up to 12 acres only, therefore the extra land must be surrendered.
The report says that if there is any objection to this report it must be filed within seven days. The next hearing will be on 25th at Kozhikode.
The Taluk Land Board also ordered PV Anvar to appear directly or through an authorized agent to participate in the enquiry to determine the identity and extend of the land that must be surrendered.
If the MLA fails to appear or do not send an authorized agent on his behalf, the Taluk Land Board said it will go forward with the proceedings and will determine the extent and identity of the land that should be surrendered.
PV Anvar MLA belongs to CPI(M) and represents the Nilambur constituency in the Legislative Assembly. He has been in many controversies such as land encroachment and illegal construction.
Anvar was recently in the media for trying to silence online media portals, which tried to bring out his corruption. He also trained his guns against mainstream media personalities and warned them of continuous law suits.
