KOTTAYAM: BJP State President K Surendran stated that Lijin Lal is the sole opposition candidate in Puthuppally. Surendran also mentioned about the hidden agreement between LDF and UDF in Kerala.
He said, candidates from both LDF and UDF belong to the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, sharing similar opinions and ideologies. V. D. Satheesan is merely a nominal Leader of the Opposition, leaning towards a pro-ruling stance. Hence, Lijin Lal remains the sole opposition candidate.
K Surendran added that Lijin Lal represents the hope of Kerala’s opposition-minded individuals who oppose corruption, nepotism, and communalism. A victory of BJP would lead to changes in controversies surrounding monthly payments, inflation, price hikes, and the scarcity of groceries in cooperative shops. The BJP aims to spotlight the troubles and challenges faced by common people in Kerala during the bi-election.
The primary issue is the lack of a strong opposition. Both LDF and UDF bear responsibility for the state’s hardships. Given that both LDF and UDF are affiliated with I.N.D.I.A., the question arises: can UDF genuinely be considered the opposition? Surendran questioned this and pointed out that the only party opposing them is the BJP. Lijin Lal stands as the solitary opposition candidate challenging them.
K Surendran then highlighted that Pinarayi Vijayan’s police force afraid to summon VD Satheesan for questioning in the Punarjani scam case. This case revolves around allegations that Satheesan misappropriated funds intended for charitable purposes from abroad.
While Vijayan acknowledges the gravity of Satheesan’s Punarjani scam, which arguably surpasses the intensity of the LDF’s LIFE mission scam, Satheesan as an opposition leader avoids discussing the Pinarayi government’s scandals and other issues. There is a significant gap between them in this regard.
While Vijayan acknowledges the seriousness of Satheesan’s Punarjani scam, which arguably exceeds the intensity of the LDF’s LIFE mission scam, Satheesan, as an opposition leader, avoids from discussing the Pinarayi government’s scams and other issues. There is a significant relation between them in this aspect.
Congress is often seen as a parallel opposition party, though it seemingly supports LDF and assumes an opposition role. An opposition leader should highlight the ruling party’s mistakes, yet Satheesan remains silent on LDF’s errors.
Whenever allegations and complaints arise against Pinarayi Vijayan, the Opposition leader VD Satheesan tends to support Vijayan.
