THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala state government has put forward a proposal advocating for a significant alteration in the structure of public examinations. According to this proposal, the requirement for annual public exams will be confined solely to the twelfth grade, which represents the culminating stage of the school curriculum. The SSLC exams will be cancelled in Kerala as a result.”
This initiative is an integral component of the ongoing school curriculum reform framework. The proposed modifications have been incorporated into the preliminary draft framework, which has been formulated under the guidance of the Kerala State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Sources indicate that the government is set to divulge further details in the near future. If the proposal is approved, substantial changes are anticipated, encompassing revisions to the curriculum itself as well as the development of educational materials.
