Thiruvananthapuram: G Sakthidharan, the former associate editor of CPI(M) mouthpiece, Deshabhimani, is spilling the beans about the shady financial dealings at the top echelons of the communist party.
The other day G Sakthidharan had exposed the name of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and accused him of carrying unaccounted money from Ernakulam to Thiruvananthapuram when he was the party secretary.
The latest accusation of Sakthidharan is that Pinarayi Vijayan took money from MD of Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), Sasidharan Kartha. He added that lakhs of rupees was taken by Deshabhimani’s former Deputy General Manager, K Venugopal, on behalf of Pinarayi Vijayan and was kept at the newspaper’s office.
The shocking revelations by the former Deshabhimani executive come at a time when CMRL is accused of giving the Chief Minister’s daughter and her firm monthly payment. Sakthidharan’s statements make it clear that the CM had prior financial dealings with the MD of CMRL, Sasidharan Kartha.
The revelations of a former Associate Editor of Deshabhimani comes as a huge blow to the CPI(M) and left leaning outlets, who were trying to justify the monthly payment controversy involving the CM’s daughter, Veena Vijayan and her firm Exalogic.
Sakthidharan says that it was P Rajeev, the current Minister of Indursty, who had introduced the bland-sand mining company owner, Sasidharan Kartha. Sakthidharan remembers that P Rajeev was very enthusiastic and vocal about Kartha and said that he was a big shot.
