Thiruvananthapuram: Government nursing colleges in the state have announced a change in the uniform for the nursing students. Starting in the upcoming academic year, the uniform for students will consist of scrub suits and pants. This shift applies to both male and female students, who are allowed to wear V-neck suits and pants.
In this arrangement, BSc Nursing students wear navy blue uniforms, while MSc Nursing students wear pistha green uniforms. The uniform palette expands further with the Compulsory Nursing Service uniforms in a grape wine colour and the Post-Basic BSc Nursing uniforms adopting a deep teal shade.
The uniform colours for Post-basic specialty Nursing Diplomas will be green, while general nursing midwives will wear uniforms in a coral blue shade. The uniform change was made based on demand from student organizations.
