Thiruvananthapuram: Reports of more irregularities and kickbacks have surfaced against the Chief Minister’s daughter, Veena Vijayan, and her company Exalogic in the monthly payment controversy.
In a presser, Congress leader and MLA, Mathew Kuzhalnadan, revealed that Veena Vijayan’s Exalogic was paid Rs.42.48 lakhs by Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL). In addition to this amount, another Rs.36 lakhs was given to Exalogic by the company owned by the wife of the owner of CMRL, Sasidharan Kartha.
These payments were in addition to the amount of Rs.1.72 crores given to Exalogic and Veena Vijayan by CMRL during the years 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Mathew Kuzhalnadan asked if the Rs.1.72 crores was paid for the service rendered by Exalogic as is being claimed, then where is the document of the GST paid for that service.
He stressed that the Rs.1.72 crores was political funding made by CMRL to Veena Vijayan, who is the daughter of Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan.
Kuzhalnadan also pointed out that if the company had received payment of Rs.1.72 crores for the service given then an amount of Rs.30 lakhs must be paid as tax.
The Congress leader shot a complaint to the Finance Minister of Kerala during the press meeting itself pointing to the non-payment of tax by Exalogic.
Mathew Kuzhalnadan also said that the CPI(M) has been reduced to being a security agency for Veena Vijayan’s company and he dubbed the party secretary, MV Govindan as Chief Security Officer, who is now protecting the company from all questions and allegations. Kuzhalnadan said that he feels pity for the plight of the communist party.
He said that his current allegations are only a tip of the iceberg and what we are seeing now is the robbery of a family.
Kuzhalnadan also made allegations that Exalogic has received foreign money as reported by the auditors, who audited Exalogic.
The controversy surrounding the Chief Minister’s daughter and her company Exalogic is growing larger day-by-day with new revelations surfacing related monthly payment made by CMRL.
