Thiruvananthapuram: The state is expected to experience rainfall as indicated by the alert from the Central Meteorological Department, which warns of the potential for heavy rain in isolated regions today and tomorrow. Concurrently, the department assures that fishing operations along the Kerala-Karnataka coast will continue without disruption. Meanwhile, along the southern Tamil Nadu coast, specifically in the Kanyakumari region bordering the Gulf of Mannar, wind speeds of 45 to 55 kmph are projected over the West Bay of Bengal. There’s also a chance of wind gusts reaching up to 65 km/h intermittently. Fishing is restricted in this area.
