New Delhi: Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan rejected the arguments of the Kerala State Finance Minister. He said that “KM Balagopal is using the language of the separatists and the tax allocation is on the recommendation of the Central Finance Commission. If the Union Finance Minister’s letter is released, Balagopal’s lie will be exposed. Tax collection is less than 30 percent. 780 crore was given in February as tax allocation.” He asked if the minister was ready to explain the facts.
V. Muraleedharan said that “the Chief Minister did not attend the NITI Aayog meeting. The Chief Minister comes to Delhi only to attend the party meeting. The GST department has not been reorganized since six years. KN Balagopal makes statements that do not suit the Finance Minister. Kerala should end the approach of giving concessions to the needy. He said that it is of no significance if the special representative in Delhi gifts the Aranmula mirror. The special representative is not ready to interfere in the issues,” says V Muraleedharan.
“The opposition is silent on the allegations against the Chief Minister’s daughter. The opposition is also cooperating in the fraud of the Chief Minister’s family; trying to stop the allegation with silence. Kerala is ruled by the Pinarayi United Front. 300 crores were swindled in the co-operative bank fraud. The government is trying to cover up the fraud. The opposition is also involved in the fraud. That is why the opposition is keeping silent in the House,” he alleged.
V. Muraleedharan said that the CPI(M) should respond to the raid on former minister AC Moideen’s house and should not call it hunting when the raid takes place against embezzlement. “The CPI(M) should explain about the ED raid. It was CPI(M) leaders who embezzled the money of the poor. So they have to explain to the people the situation that led to the raid. Pinarayi Vijayan and VD Satheesan will now accuse the central government of hunting them,” he added.
