Thiruvananthapuram: A formal complaint has been submitted to the Governor, requesting to seek a report from the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, into the conduct of the Speaker who disrespected Lord Ganesha. A delegation headed by Swami Chitananda Puri, the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Marga-Darshak Mandal, held a meeting with the Governor at Raj Bhavan. The Governor provided assurance that appropriate steps will be taken to address this matter.
The Marga-Darshak Mandal, an ascetic community of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, submitted a petition to Governor Arif Muhammad Khan. Their appeal was to seek a report from the Chief Minister on the derogatory statements against Lord Ganapati by Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer. Additionally, they urged the Governor to bring this matter to the attention of the President. Under the leadership of Swami Chitananda Puri Swamy, president of the organization, they visited the Governor directly at Raj Bhavan. Swami Chitananda Puri informed that the Governor has assured that he will seek a report from the Chief Minister on the incident.
Swami Prajnananda Theertha Pada, Swami Sat Swaroopananda Saraswati, Vedamritananda Puri, Veethasangananda, Swami Ayyappadas, Hariharanandasaraswati, Keshavananda Bharati, Thiruvananthapuram Vishwa Hindu Parishad State President Viji Thampi, General Secretary VR Rajasekaran and Vibhag Organization Secretary Ajith Kumar were also part of the delegation that visited the Raj Bhavan.
