Thiruvananthapuram: The government has taken steps to reinforce security measures at the Cliff House, the official residence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. A total of 45 police personnel have been added to Chief Minister Vijayan’s Z-plus category security detail. In addition, another 45 officers, including three Sub-Inspectors from the KAP 5th battalion, have been assigned to enhance security at the Cliff House premises. Substantial security enhancements have been implemented both within the premises and in the vicinity of Cliff House.
A dedicated team of police personnel remains on active duty at the Cliff House, providing round-the-clock security. This team comprises 45 policemen along with five inspectors from the RRRF battalion. Additionally, a contingent of 15 highly-trained commandos, accompanied by a standard striker force consisting of 15 members, is also present.
Furthermore, an escort of 40 policemen, including 28 commandos, accompanies the Chief Minister at all times. This security detail includes five officers in the lead vehicle, ten officers spread across two commando vehicles, eight officers forming the Rapid Inspection Team, and members from the Striker Force, Dog Squad, Bomb Squad, and Ambulance. The escort group is further complemented by a pilot, two escorts, and a spare vehicle. During Chief Minister Vijayan’s official engagements, the Rapid Action Force and SISF personnel are strategically deployed.
