Muvattupuzha: The Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court dismissed the plea seeking investigation into the allegation that Chief Minister’s daughter, Veena Vijayan, and her company, Exalogic, had received payment from a company, Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited(CMRL) without providing any services. The allegation pointed out that CMRL was giving political payment.
The plea had sought investigation against the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, and his daughter, Veena Vijayan. However, the Vigilance court said that there was not enough evidence submitted by the petitioner, Girish Babu, who is a social activist.
According to a report, Girish Babu, in his plea demanded that a case must be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and investigation initiated.
His plea names twelve persons as opposing parties including Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, Veena Vijayan, senior Congress leader, Ramesh Chennithala, and Muslim League leaders, PK Kunhalikutty, and VK Ibrahim. The name of all these persons had featured in a diary discovered by the Income Tax during a raid at CMRL’s office and the residences of the company’s top officials.
Meanwhile, Minister of State, V Muraleedharan said that the court’s observation questioned the sense of justice of the people.
