Kottayam: Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that CPI(M) has become another Congress on the basis of corruption. He went on to condemn the UDF and the LDF, asserting that they seem to be engaged in a competition to excel in corruption within the state of Kerala. These remarks were made during his participation in several election campaign events in Puthupally.
Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar, during his involvement in campaign activities for the Puthupally by-election, took a dig at both the CPI(M) and the Congress. He asserted that the CPI(M), led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family, has now surpassed the Congress in corruption, a party which was at the forefront of corruption. According to him, the CPI(M) has essentially mirrored the Congress in its corruption tendencies. Additionally, the Union Minister criticized the UDF and LDF in Kerala for engaging in a competition to outdo each other in the realm of corruption.
On the occasion of the NDA candidate Lijin Lal’s campaign in Puthupally, the Union Minister inaugurated the professional student association. Following a productive interaction with the students, the Union Minister also marked the commencement of the family meet at the 10th Booth of the Ayarkunnam area within the Puthupally Constituency.
