Puthupally: BJP leader and Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, on Saturday said that those contesting against each other in Puthupally elections are together hosting a dinner party in Mumbai. The minister who was addressing media persons in Puthupally, was referring to the I.N.D.I.A bloc meeting held in Mumbai on Friday.
Muraleedharan was in Puthupally for attending the election campaigns for BJP candidate Lijin Lal. He said both fronts should openly say whether they are together or not, whether they are playing an act to fool public. He said the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Congress-led United Democratic Front are engaged in a friendly match in Puthuppally. He said the LDF and UDF have come together to take on BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the September 5 bypoll.
Muraleedharan said the LDF government, headed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is fooling the public. “He put the people reeling under price hike into further crisis by restricting the free Onam ration kits to only six lakh families of the 93 lakh ration card holders in Kerala. If the government representative in Delhi is removed, at least 10,000 people can be given kits. CM is blaming the centre for not helping Kerala. How is the center squeezing Kerala? The paddy arrears issue is not in the list Kerala submitted to the centre. 50% of the Health Grant allocated by the centre was not spent. How can the centre be blamed,” asks the Minister.
“Kerala does not meet any of the criteria. An attempt is being made to disparage the BJP candidate by making baseless allegations. People will recognize this. Central agencies will intervene at appropriate times on a monthly basis,” said the Minister. V Muraleedharan asks the CM to stop playing the worthless blame game and work for the welfare of the people of Kerala.
