Pathanamthitta: The communist party and its members are relentless in their push in insulting Ayyappa devotees to the maximum. In a highly insensitive remark, a leader of the students wing of CPI(M), the Students Federation of India (SFI), posted highly derogatory statements on his Facebook post.
The FB post was published by SFI Area Committee member Vishnu Vijayakumar.
He said that if the communist candidate wins in Pathanamthitta, then the party will forcefully let women enter the holy shrine. Moreover, he said that the CPI(M) candidate, Veena George, had promised that she will take a selfie in front of the holy shrine.
The most hurtful remark on his FB post is when he says that the communist will sell sanitary napkins through the counter meant for selling ‘prasadam’ of the deity.
After his post came under severe criticism and widespread condemnation, Vishnu Vijayakumar deleted his post. To avoid a huge backlash from the devotees, the communist student leader has said that his FB account was hacked.
While the CPI(M) candidate, Veena George, has denied any knowledge of Vishnu Vijayakumar, pictures of the student leader posing with the candidate is being spread widely.
