Thiruvananthapuram: The kidnap and rape of an eight-year-old girl has shocked Kerala. The fact that she was kidnapped from her home while she was sleeping with her parents makes the crime more worrying.
BJP State President, K Surendran, slammed the government for its failure in the law and order situation. He said that the rape case has put the state into shame. The situation in Kerala is that not even girls are safe here.
Surendran also demanded that the Chief Minister must resign the Home Minister post. The Home Ministry is a complete failure. The BJP leader said that our daughters are not safe even inside the home.
He said that this incident comes before the shock of the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl at Aluva had subsided. He said that the government who is inviting migrant workers with much fanfare is letting their daughters fall prey to sexual predators.
Surendra also asked the government to provide safety to the children in Kerala before providing education to the child who was slapped by classmates on the instruction of the teacher in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP leader said that criminals and drug mafia are given a free hand in Kerala, while the police are sleeping. The government must take strong actions like the government of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that such crimes are continuing because the criminals are getting help from the government. God’s own country has turned into criminal’s own country. Kerala is now competing with Rajasthan on rape and sexual assault, said K Surendran.
