Kollam: Four-year-old Manhamariyam and her family, living at Karunagappally in Kollam district, are all excited and happy after she dressed up as baby Sri Krishna and took part in the ‘Sobha Yathra’ organized by Balagokulam during the Sri Krishna Jayanthi celebrations.
Manhamariyam’s wish to dress up as Lord Krishna came after seeing all her friends in nursery dressing up as baby Krishna and Radha. When she told her wish to her parents Shihabudeen and mother Ancy, both decided to fulfill their daughter’s wish. With their support and help, Manhamariyam turned into cute baby Krishna.
Manhamariyam took part in the Sobha Yathra that was organized from Manurethu Kaavu to Mararithotam temple. She was accompanied by her mother and also by her grandmother Suni. Manhamariyam returned home only after fully taking part in the procession and also participating in the ‘Uriyadi’ game in the temple symbolizing baby Krishna breaking the pot filled with butter.
Ancy told that she feels happy and had a good experience to participating in the Sobha Yatra. She added that Balagokulam workers and the local residents were all happy that her daughter dressed up as Krishna. A picture of Manhamariyam dressed up as Krishna and held in the hands of her grandmother is going viral in social media.
