There has been a significant surge in the number of cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in the state. In 2022, there were more than 26,000 cases registered, whereas in 2016, there were only 5,924 cases. This marks a staggering increase of 450 percent.
