Palakkad: The Mannarkkad SC/ST Court sentenced two Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorists to life imprisonment for hacking two persons belonging to RSS in 2017. Ismail and Anees, who are members of the banned terror organization PFI were sentenced by the court. Both the accused are from Chalissery.
The accused attacked RSS karyakarthas Santhosh and Vipeesh while they were travelling on a bike. They were hacked by the accused with long swords. The attack followed after an altercation concerning conducting of RSS Shaka in the area.
The accused were sentenced under the charges of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Both the victims belong to the Scheduled Castes.
