THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint has been filed against the Students Federation of India (SFI) Kerala state secretary, P.M. Arsho. The complaint was that Arsho entered forcefully to the office of the Kerala Agricultural University Vice Chancellor, Dr. B. Ashok, without authorisation and threatened the employees in the office.
The incident leading to the complaint occurred while the Vice Chancellor was attending an online meeting with Secretaries to the Union Ministry of Agriculture. Reportedly, the Vice Chancellor had informed Arsho through his Confidential Assistant that he would meet with him after the ongoing meeting. However, Arsho and other SFI member entered the office forcefully. According to the complaint, Arsho entered the Vice Chancellor’s chamber through the Confidential Assistant’s room and also disrupted the online meeting.
Upon entering, Arsho and another SFI member demanded an appointment with the Principal Secretary, threatening consequences if it was not arranged immediately. In response to the incident, the Confidential Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, Dinu Nair, filed a complaint with the Secretariat Security Officer. The complaint also mentioned that Arsho used abusive language at the officials including lady officials.
It is noteworthy that Arsho and other SFI member made the threats even though the Chief Security Officer for the secretariat was present.
On September 20th, at approximately 3:15 pm, Arsho informed the Confidential Assistant (CA) and demanded an immediate meeting with the Vice Chancellor. Following Arsho’s demand, the CA promptly informed the Vice Chancellor. Subsequently, the Vice Chancellor offered to meet with Arsho at 5 pm, as he already had two scheduled meetings with Union Ministry Officials. However, Arsho disagreed and insisted on an immediate meeting, forcibly entering the Vice Chancellor’s chamber.
