BJP state president K. Surendran expressed that Vande Bharat has demonstrated that people will rally behind development without any bias. He attributed this achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “One must wonder why a train can attract and unite so many people,” he said. He went on to note that the entire state of Kerala witnessed a transformation, as even those who initially expressed hostility by throwing stones and defacing the train using derogatory posters during Vande Bharat’s initial visit later warmly welcomed it during its second visit, showering the train with flowers. Surendran said this in a post shared on social media about the reception given by the people to the second Vande Bharat.
“Ten years ago, it was impossible to walk on a railway platform in our country without covering our nose. Even looking at the tracks were disgusting. But today the situation has completely changed. Many big changes have taken place. All this was possible because of the hard work of our Prime Minister,” said K Surendran.
“Present day trains exhibit remarkable speed, safety, and cutting-edge technology. 97% of these trains are equipped with bio-toilets, with just a minor 3% requiring upgrades. All trains are manufactured in India. Moreover, railway stations have undergone remarkable transformations, surpassing the aesthetics of airports. These are the extraordinary achievements of progress that are taking place across the nation under the leadership of Narendra Modi, who once supported his family by selling tea at a railway station,” stated K. Surendran. He further stated that even a Malayali, in the near future, will find it irresistible to not participate in the pursuit of development.
