Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in Kerala have experienced a consecutive two-day decline, with 22 carat gold dropping by Rs. 25 per gram to reach Rs. 5,450. Consequently, the price of a sovereign of 22 carat gold has now reached Rs. 43,600, reflecting a decrease of Rs. 200.
Just yesterday, gold prices in the state fell by Rs. 20 per gram to settle at Rs. 5,475, while the cost of a sovereign of 22 carat gold decreased by Rs. 160, reaching Rs. 43,800. Meanwhile, on the international, the price of gold continued its descent, touching $1,898 per ounce.
In addition to the decline in gold prices, silver has also experienced a drop in value, with the standard silver rate decreasing by Rs. 1 to Rs. 77 per gram.
