Alappuzha: U Prathibha, CPI(M) leader and MLA representing Kayamkulam, has strongly criticized Minister Mohammed Riyas, accusing the tourism department of neglecting her constituency. Despite her repeated complaints to the minister, no solution has been forthcoming. Prathibha emphasized that it is essential for those in power to remember that Kayamkulam is also a part of Alappuzha.
During her address at the inauguration of Kayamkulam Lake area cleaning activities, Prathibha conveyed her frustration with the situation. She said some people believe that tourism is limited to beach and Punnamada. Expressing her disappointment over the lack of response from Minister Mohammed Riyas despite their meetings and discussions, she lamented that her efforts to garner support from various other ministers had also been met with neglect.
