Thiruvananthapuram: Meteorological Department has informed that heavy to very heavy rains with thunderstorms are likely to occur in the state on today and tomorrow. Wind speeding 40 to 50 km may also occur.
Yellow alert has been already declared in Idukki district for today and tomorrow. Up to 11 cm rain is expected in the district.
State disaster management team has requested people of Idukki to obey the directions given by meteorological department and also warned that as there are chances of landslide, travelling towards hilly regions should be avoided between 7 pm to 7 am for two days.
