Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC is making efforts to settle the 13-crore investment fraud within the Congress-controlled District Unemployed Social Welfare Cooperative Society. It is understood that the investors have been approached and assured by KPCC that a solution will be sought within two days, and they are encouraged not to file a complaint with the government during this period.
However, following the revelation of the attempt to cover up the incident, KPCC clarified that Congress has no affiliation with the society. KPCC stated that they would not involve themselves in the matter, and the party had not made any commitments to reimburse the investors.
While the opposition is digging up the Karuvannur bank fraud, a similar financial fraud has occurred within the Congress-controlled corporate society. Approximately 13 crores are to be refunded to around 300 investors. Meanwhile, the society’s president, M. Rajendran, assured that the funds would be reimbursed to the investors within a month.
