THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Due to heavy rain in Kerala, holiday has been declared for educational institutions in three districts today. The district collectors of Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, and Alappuzha have announced today as holiday anticipating heavy rain. Although there has been a slight decrease in rain, the holiday has been declared considering the situation of waterlogging in many places.
The holiday has been declared for schools scheduled for relief camps in Cherthala taluk of Alappuzha district and in Kottayam district.
Thiruvananthapuram district collector has announced a holiday for all educational institutions, including professional colleges and Kendriya Vidyalayas, in the district.
PSC exams in Thiruvananthapuram district have also been postponed due to heavy rains. The PSC exams scheduled to be held today and tomorrow in the district have been postponed. It is important to note that the PSC exams are only postponed in the aforementioned three districts.
The physical test for Assistant Prison Officer has been postponed as well.
