Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Kerala, with a particular focus on three districts. Residents are urged to stay vigilant as a yellow alert has been announced for Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts today. Additionally, a yellow alert has been extended to Kannur district for tomorrow.
The IMD has forecasted the possibility of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated places across these regions. This weather advisory has prompted authorities to advise residents, especially those in hilly areas, to exercise caution and take necessary precautions.
The Meteorological Department has clarified that there is currently no disruption to fishing activities along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coast.
