THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI(M) leader KK Shailaja strongly condemned the recent attack by Hamas terrorists in a residential area of Israel through a Facebook post, while other senior CPI(M) leaders are making pro-terrorist statements.

CPI(M) senior leader KK Shailaja used social media to denounce the actions of the Muslim terrorist group, Hamas, operating in Palestine, emphasizing their violence in Israel. She pointed out that while the CPI(M) leadership hesitates to acknowledge the actions of Hamas terrorists.

Her post begins by suggesting that the pursuit of power and wealth is a driving force behind war, and then she condemns the recent attack in Israel by the Islamic terrorist group. This stance, however, appears to differ from that of other CPI(M) leaders.

However, in contrast to her earlier statements in the same post, Shailaja also expresses support for Palestine, indicating a dual stance on the issue.

Followed by, in response to her post, one comment humorously refers to Shailaja’s message as a “digital weighing machine post,” suggesting Shailaja balances both the Israeli and Palestinian.

Furthermore, several comments on Shailaja’s post urge her not to delete or edit the term ‘Hamas terrorists.’ Some expressed their concern is that pro-Hamas groups might pressure the CPI(M) to remove the post in the future as a vote-bank tactic.

At the same time, some Islamist supporters have emerged, advocating for referring to Hamas as fighters instead of terrorists.
