THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The public is invited to take part in and witness the arrival of the Zhen Hua 15, the first ship for the Vizhinjam International Port in Thiruvananthapuram. It is also informed that the public can watch the ship’s arrival at the port without any restrictions and participate in the event.
Interested visitors should arrive at the port before 3:00 p.m. Visitors are advised that they can park their vehicles in the specially designated parking area near to the main gate of the port and proceed after security checks.
The Port department has made special vehicle arrangements to transport the public visitors (audience) from the security check area to the stage area. Additionally, free bus services has been introduced, running from the Thampanoor KSRTC bus stand in Thiruvananthapuram, departing at 2 pm for Vizhinjam and returning at 6 pm.
The Port department has informed that everyone from the public will be permitted to attend the program. Therefore, participants are kindly requested to follow the instructions and arrangements that have been set up by the Port department. The department, in its circular, has also mentioned the importance of the public’s cooperation with the security officials.
The official inaugural docking of the first vessel, Zhen Hua 15, at the Vizhinjam International Seaport, will take place today at 4 pm.
It has been announced that the ship will be received with a water salute. The cargo ship is carrying three huge cranes for installation at the Vizhinjam port.
The ceremony will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and the Union Minister for Ports, Sarbananda Sonowal, will also participate in the function. Among the other dignitaries witnessing the event is Adani Group CEO Kiran Adani.
