Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in several districts of Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, and Malappuram, due to the possibility of heavy rainfall today. This alert follows the presence of two cyclones and a low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea.
There’s circular motion happening in the Southeast Arabian Sea near the Lakshadweep, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu coasts. A low-pressure might form by Wednesday, influenced by atmospheric circulation along the Kerala coast.
The persistence of this low-pressure ,along the Kerala coast ,could result in more substantial rainfall than currently anticipated, prompting a state-wide call for caution, especially in hilly areas.
