Thrissur: Allegations of a false police case being filed against ABVP (Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) workers have emerged, with fingers pointing towards the involvement of CPI (M) . The incident occurred at Vivekananda College in Kunnamkulam, where police have filed a case against students, including ABVP workers, who raised questions about alleged interference by SFI members in college union elections.
ABVP activists claim that the faculty members at the college unilaterally supported SFI activists during their alleged attempts to disrupt the elections. Subsequently, students staged protests in response to this situation. It is alleged that the police action was taken with the backing of teachers aligned with the left-leaning CPI(M).
ABVP members claim that SFI activists were involved in attacks on students related to the elections, including incidents of violence against female students and others. They further accused the college of favoring SFI members in the ongoing dispute.
