Thiruvananthapuram: In response to the shocking bomb blast that rocked Kalamassery and sent shockwaves throughout the state, K. Surendran has strongly criticised the state government. Surendran expressed grave concerns that Kerala is perched atop an active volcano and has become a focal point for numerous terrorist organisations.
Surendran emphasised that the Pinarayi government is taking a lenient stance towards the Popular Front. Since the ban on the Popular Front, a void has emerged. Both the LDF and UDF are allegedly attempting to fill this void with religious extremists. Surendran warned that unless the government corrects its approach towards these terrorist elements, Kerala could face severe peril, urging authorities to exercise greater care and vigilance for the state’s security.
The explosion that occurred at the Zamra International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kalamassery has been determined to be a preplanned act, with a bomb concealed inside lunchboxes. Approximately 2,400 individuals were present inside the convention center at the time of the explosion. In response to the blast, the state has been put on high alert to ensure the safety and security of its residents.
