THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the wake of the bomb blast at the Kalamassery Convention Centre, an all-party meeting called by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is currently underway.
Following yesterday’s bomb blast at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Convention Center in Kalamassery, Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called for an all-party meeting. The meeting was convened at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall in the State Secretariat.
The meeting is expected to address the need to combat hate propaganda and urge the public not to spread any fake news regarding the incident.
After the all-party meeting, an all-party press conference will also take place.
Currently, the Kerala government is facing criticism for the failure of intelligence in the Kalamassery bomb blast incident.
Reports indicate that attendees at the meeting this morning included BJP leader C Krishna Kumar, Congress leader VT Belram, IUML leader PK Kunjalikutty, NCP leader PC Chacko, JDS leader Mathew T Thomas, Kerala Congress leader Monce Joseph, and ministers K. Rajan, Roshi Augustin, Antony Raju, A. K. Sasindran, Kadannapally Ramachandran, CPI(M) state secretary MV Govindan, and opposition leader VD Satheesan.
Meanwhile, the police are continuing to interrogate Dominic Martin, who surrendered in the Kalamassery blast case. They are investigating whether Martin received assistance from anyone else. Dominic Martin’s interrogation is taking place at the Kalamassery AR camp.
Currently, top officials from agencies such as NIA and NSG are stationed in Kochi, along with the Kerala state police.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to visit Kalamassery today.
