THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI(M) Kerala State Secretary MV Govindan faced strong criticism during the all-party meeting convened by the Chief Minister in response to the Kalamassery bomb blast.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan and BJP State General Secretary C Krishnakumar claimed during the meeting that MV Govindan was the first to connect the Kalamassery bomb blast to the Israeli war.

Ministers K Rajan, Antony Raju, A. K. Saseendran, Roshi Augustine, and Chief Secretary V Venu represented the government at the all-party meeting, which took place in the conference hall of the Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by various political leaders, including BJP leader C Krishna Kumar, Congress leader VT Belram, IUML leader PK Kunjalikutty, NCP leader PC Chacko, JDS leader Mathew T Thomas, Kerala Congress leader Monce Joseph, CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan, and Opposition leader VD Satheesan.

Both BJP State General Secretary C Krishnakumar and Opposition leader VD Satheesan criticized MV Govindan for being the first to suggest a possible terrorist connection to the Kalamassery bomb blast, linking it to the Israeli war.

During the meeting, a resolution was approved unanimously, emphasizing the need for unity in the pursuit of peace within the state.
