Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has forecasted rain accompanied by thunderstorms for the state of Kerala today, leading to the issuance of yellow alerts in several districts. As per the latest weather advisory, the districts placed under a yellow alert include Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad.
No rain warnings for the state in the upcoming two days. On Friday, nine districts are expected to receive rain warnings and yellow alert and 11 districts on Saturday. The districts under yellow alert on Saturday are Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Wayanad are anticipated to experience heavy rainfall but no alert issued.
