Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran said that the Pinarayi government is creating communal conflicts in everything to divert attention from the problems the people of Kerala are facing. Surendran criticized that Kerala is going through a big economic crisis and things are not happening as advertised by the government. He was speaking to media persons in Kozhikode.
Surendran said, “The government is currently facing a highly critical situation. Their stance is that emphasizing secularism on a daily basis is sufficient. However, Satheesan and his associates seem oblivious to this perspective. State projects have come to a standstill, resulting in a frustrating deadlock. This government is exceptionally disappointing and lacks the desired quality.”
He outlined the failures of the government by giving examples. He said, “Salaries will be stopped not only in KSRTC but also in other sectors. The employment scheme is partially suspended. Contractors are awaiting their payments. The Jal Jeevan mission has hit a roadblock. Aid for fishermen has been temporarily discontinued. An inquiry into the PPE kit scandal is still pending.” He expressed that the situation has reached a juncture where the government’s actions have negatively impacted the provision of mid-day meals in government schools, misrepresenting facts to the central authorities.
Surendran further said, “There is no other person in Kerala as poisonous as Pinarayi Vijayan. Satheesan and his allies appear to be following the path set by the CPI(M) and Pinarayi Vijayan. The petition submitted to the Union Finance Minister does not explicitly mention the outstanding dues from the Central government. Large business entities owe around seventy thousand crores in tax arrears. There appears to be a huge disparity between KN Balagopal’s statement and the information circulating in the public discourse.” Surendran also emphasized strong opposition to providing support to Hamas terrorists under the guise of democracy.
