KOZHIKODE: Kerala BJP Vice President Sobha Surendran inaugurates ‘Coastal March’ in response to the Kerala government’s neglect of coastal areas. Sobha Surendran, inaugurated the “Theeradesha Padayatra” at Kuriyadi Beach in Vadakara, Kozhikode district. The “Theeradesha Padayatra” was initiated yesterday by BJP Kozhikode district president, Adv. VK Sajeevan, as a protest against the negligence of the Kerala state government towards the coastal residents.

The protest march is scheduled to conclude at Beypore on November 6. BJP leaders emphasized the perceived betrayal of coastal residents by both the Left and Right Fronts. Several senior leaders and coastal residents have joined the march to voice their protest against the Kerala government.

Prior to commencing the coastal protection march, VK Sajeevan visited Marad and paid floral tributes at the portrait of the Marad martyrs.

The BJP’s coastal protection march calls for the immediate implementation of various central government schemes in the coastal region of Kerala and an end to the neglect of the coastal region by the state government and the Left-Right Fronts.
