Thiruvananthapuram: The state is expected to experience easterly winds originating from the Bay of Bengal. This weather condition is likely to intensify rainfall across Kerala in the coming week.
The India Meteorological Department has issued updated forecasts, indicating that from today until the 8th, there is a possibility of heavy rain occurring at isolated locations throughout the state.
Furthermore, the heavy rains witnessed during the day are attributed to the effects of a cyclonic storm that passed over Kerala, which had previously been located over Sri Lanka.
This storm went across Kerala last night and eventually reached the Arabian Sea. In addition to this, another cyclonic system has formed over South Tamil Nadu, as confirmed by weather experts.
