Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K. Surendran said that the ruling party and the opposition are engaged in communal politics to divert attention from the problems the people of the state is facing. The increase in electricity charges has pushed the people into a severe crisis. He also said that the government is drilling the public to pay the debt of KSEB.
Surendran said, “Every essential things has seen a record price hike recently. The government, which did not pay even for mid-day meals, has imposed an additional burden of Rs 5,000 crore on the public through this budget. The state is in a situation where the people have no means to live. In such a state, the government is squandering crores of rupees. The unemployment rate in Kerala is around 10 percent. Only back door appointments are being done here. CPI(M) is trying to divert the attention from important issues by using the Israel-Hamas conflict in the situation where the Malayalees are struggling with the Pinarayi government.”
He further blames the Congress to be working with the CPI(M) for gathering votes. He said, “The Congress, which is leading the I.N.D.I.A front, is trying to save the CPI(M), which is part of the front at the all-India level. He said that it is also Rahul Gandhi’s responsibility to maintain the left government in Kerala. By sparking the issue of Palestine which does not affect the Muslims of Kerala in any way, the CPI(M) is thinking that it can create communal polarization in the Lok Sabha elections and VD Satheesan is providing them with the help they need. It is certain that the Muslim League will join the LDF before the parliamentary elections. CPI(M) and Congress are supporting international terrorist Hamas to get few votes. Whatever Hamas does, CPI(M)’s position is to support them.”
